🇬🇧  Catch Pierre Cormier, CMC at the Inaugural Global Agritourism Conference 2026 — Aberdeen, Scotland, June 23–25. Chair, Session 6.4 Sustainability & Sustainable Food. Speaker, Session 8.2 Country Insights.

For over three decades, ClearThink™ Group has helped Canadian businesses, communities and government bodies turn opportunity into action. Today, Keleigh and Pierre Cormier focus that experience on the agrifood and agritourism sectors, working at the regional and community scale where strategy, facilitation and stakeholder convening produce measurable outcomes.

Our Expertise

Four practice areas where ClearThink delivers strategic, regional-scale impact across the agrifood value chain.

Agritourism

Visitor-ready farm experiences, agritourism business models, on-farm risk and liability planning, and the practical work of opening the farm gate to guests. Insights drawn from town halls, workshops and on-farm residencies across Alberta and the international Global Agritourism Network.

Agrifood Systems

Connecting producers, processors, retailers, restaurants and consumers around regional food. Stakeholder convening, supply-chain mapping and the kind of patient facilitation that turns fragmented players into a connected food system, where more of what we grow is what we eat.

Economic Development

Strategy and feasibility work that grows the agrifood and rural tourism contribution to regional economies. Market research, opportunity assessment, business case development and the certified-management-consultant rigour that grant funders, municipalities and Community Futures bodies expect.

Rural Growth

Diversification, resilience and the people-side of rural community building. Town halls, coaching programs, succession conversations and the long-arc work of helping farm families and rural businesses adapt, reinvest and pass on what they have built.

Our Approach

We bring objectivity, clarity and a balanced perspective to our work with farms, food businesses, rural communities, non-profits and government. Our agri-business and tourism experience adds depth to every project.

No. 1

Relevant Experience and Objectivity

Our Certified Management Consultants bring deep experience in market research, opportunity identification, strategy and coaching. We see the whole business and understand the cross-functional implications of opportunities and challenges. We address root issues, not symptoms.

No. 2

A Team First Perspective

We work closely with you to understand your unique challenges and opportunities. We advocate clear communication through participation, input and shared knowledge — the ingredients of every successful project. In agrifood work, that often means convening 200+ stakeholders around a shared regional vision.

No. 3

A Comprehensive and CLEAR Plan

We design effective plans that meet your needs. A clear plan delivers powerful decision-making for clients today and into the future. We translate strategy into deliverable workstreams that funders, boards and operators can act on.

Northeast Alberta FOOD — Finding Our Own Diversity

A two-year, region-scale initiative to revitalize the Northeast Alberta agrifood economy, delivered for Community Futures St. Paul-Smoky Lake Region and recognized as CMC-Canada’s 2025 Project of the Year (Gold).

Led by Keleigh Cormier (FCMC) and Perry Phillips, with the ClearThink team including Cara Shan, Brooke MacLean and Pierre Cormier (CMC), the project engaged 250+ producers, organizations and municipal leaders, co-created vision and mission for the new Agrifood Network Alberta, and catalyzed grassroots momentum around regional sourcing, value-added processing and distribution.

The work continues under the Connect for Food banner — Grow what we eat. Eat what we grow.

“The Connect for Food project started with a simple conversation and grew into a powerful community-based movement — we listened, adapted and let the community lead. What emerged was a model rooted in connection and shared knowledge about food and our agrifood systems. It’s been incredible to see youth engagement, local/regional food discovery and momentum growing beyond our region. This wasn’t just a project, it was a shift in how we think about food, community and resilience.”

— Penny Fox, General Manager, Community Futures St. Paul-Smoky Lake Region
